MSculp

Highly grogged highly plastic sculpture body. This body is Buffstone plus a 15% mix of large particle grog and 15% fine silica sand.

Process Properties

When working with this keep in mind that while on one hand the grog and silica sand particles terminate cracks, reduce shrinkage and vent internal water, it also reduces the dry strength and provides surface imperfections where cracks can start.

Firing

Cone 6
This fires similar to Buffstone.

Glazing

Protruding grog particles can make glazed surfaces rough. Also keep in mind that bisque may not be as strong so extra care is needed during handling.
